20 weeks and counting

Hello everyone. Another baby update so yes, that can mean only one thing - a blog entry from Gill. (It makes a nice change from all Tony's old waffle).

I find the scans that we have to have a strange experience. You long for the next one to come alomg as it is the most amazing thing to see your baby and hear its heartbeat, but there's so much more to it than that. Measurements are taken from every angle and vital oragns are checked and scrutinised. Thankfully all went well last Monday at our twenty week update. We saw our baby so clearly on the screen. With hands stretched behind its head in a 'chilled out' position it clearly takes after its parents. We saw the soles of the baby's feet and at the end of our twenty minute session, the cheeky thing started sticking its tongue out! Tony's favourite moment was seeing the baby's face in full - had he spotted a family resemblance? Not unless one of us has a 'Skeletor' in the cupboard.

The other big thing at this point is being able to find out the sex of your baby. We couldn't resist this opportunity but we're keeping it to ourselves for now!

Nice to hear everything is going well. I does seem that we are copying each other. We also went for 20 week scan on Monday, everything seems to be in order. We have found though that the images aren't as good this time round, due to to (we think) the position of the placenta.

We also know the sex of the baby, and are keeping it secret. The last thin you want is to be bought loads of blue or pink things!

Great to hear all's well. Can you feel him/her moving yet? Are you keeping the sex a secret so someone can start a book? If so, I bet it's a boy.

Hi Guys,
great to follow your adventures, have to set aside "reading" time to keep up with the prolific writing! Good stuff. I was looking forward to making a cameo appearance myself in the next intallment, but sadly not to be. Hope to read all about St Patrick's day capers soon. Have a great time!

Great to hear all's well though the blog was a bit short! Happy St Patrick's Day.

Hello All,

Breaking news - Sarah and I are expecting our first baby in October. We had our 13 week scan last Friday and everything was fine.

It's all really exciting, but a little bit scary. As we're a little bit behind Tony and Gill, maybe they could let us know all the tricks.

See you all soon.

STAN and Sarah.
